VIKTOR SAVOSCHENKO in LATVIA is ANIMAL HOARDER!
STOP VIKTOR! VIKTOR SAVOSCHENKO in LATVIA is ANIMAL HOARDER! SORRY TO ALL MY FRIENDS FOR MISLEADING THEM AND ASKING FOR YOUR SUPPORT! DO NOT! BEWARE!!! Here is why. Victor loves animal without the doubt. But this is not enough alone to present self as a... RESPONSIBLE animal shelter. He did witness some abuse and after that his Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is ruling his life for 10 years. How you can keep apart ANIMAL HOARDER and RESCUE apart? there is good definition from Wikipedia below. In my private conversations in his language-Russian, I did find out more and more about his life. He is NOT neutering /spaying ALL of his dogs and therefore went from having 40 dogs 2 years ago to 125 this year. The pictures tell you a story - they all look alike. Normal rescue place would have small dogs, middle size dogs, pit bulls, puddles, dachshund mixes etc. Viktor is very defensive when asked about to open the donation history, about how many are his inbreed dogs, about why he is misleading people stating that Latvia has no Animal Shelters but just Kill stations, about many other things. Off note - Latvia has MANY shelters , including NO KILL shelters with great success rate, they are working also ONLY thanks TO DONATIONS!!! See : http://www.petnet.lv/shelters/ (on this page links on the left side are all shelters). See also: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dzivnieku-Draugs/123991357621887 who in 2010. took in 664 cats and 234 dogs, and adopted out 423 cats un 189 dogs. F.ex.:“Juglas Dzīvnieku aizsardzības grupa “ is registred (Reģ.Nr.40008048503) as shelter since 2000 and is member of WSPCA !!! Adopted out 2600 dogs so far! http://www.patversme.lv/?shelter1.html When asked about all this Viktor is not answering, but "changes agenda" and is whining about self made health problems, uses crippled animal pictures to "push your buttons". As every born Latvian, I do speak free Russian and could hear in many of Viktors videos his wifes comment behind the camera (in Russian) :"show them , show them the one with bad eye" (on last videos where he cuts the wood for the stove). This reminds me a "professional begging" practices in 3rd world countries , where some people do display on the street the grandma with wounded leg or the kids born with physical disabilities, the worse the injuries, the more $$$ naive & sensitive foreign tourists will spend... HERE IS DEFINITION OF ANIMAL HOARDER: Animal hoarding involves keeping higher than usual numbers of animals as domestic pets without having the ability to properly house or care for them, while at the same time denying this inability. Compulsive hoarding can be characterized as a symptom of mental disorder rather than deliberate cruelty towards animals. Hoarders are deeply attached to their pets and find it extremely difficult to let the pets go. They typically cannot comprehend that they are harming their pets by failing to provide them with proper care. Hoarders tend to believe that they provide the right amount of care for their pets. Due to the harmful effects on the health of the animals involved, animal hoarding is considered a form of animal cruelty. Hoarders often fail to provide even basic care for their animals, thus resulting in disease and often death. The primary animal health issues involved are malnourishment, overcrowding, and problems related to neglect. Overcrowding is also an acute animal health problem in hoarding situations. Another problem tied to neglect is poor sanitary conditions for the animals. Basic animal waste management is absent in virtually all animal-hoarding situations, and animals are found filthy and often infected with parasites as a result. Many of these health problems continue to cause suffering even after the animals are rescued. Strained animal shelters or humane societies, forced to prioritize when dealing with a large number of rescued animals, may be unable to provide immediate treatment to many animals. Further, many of the rescued animals, due to health or behavioral problems, may be un-adoptable. Euthanasia, even in cases where the animals are not beyond rehabilitation, is often the only option for rescued animals. Animal hoarding also causes many health problems for the individuals involved. Hoarders, by definition, fail to correct deteriorating sanitary conditions of their living spaces, and this gives rise to several health risks for those living in and around hoarding residences. Animal hoarding is at the root of a string of human health problems including horrendous sanitation, fire hazards, zoonotic diseases, envenomations, and neglect of oneself and dependents. In typical hoarding residences, animal waste is found coating interior surfaces, including beds, countertops, and cupboards. Self-neglect can be defined as "the inability to provide for oneself the goods or services to meet basic needs," and has been shown to be an "independent risk factor for death". While self-neglect is a condition generally associated with the elderly, animal hoarders of any age can and do suffer from it. Self-neglect can be defined as "the inability to provide for oneself the goods or services to meet basic needs," and has been shown to be an "independent risk factor for death". While self-neglect is a condition generally associated with the elderly, animal hoarders of any age can and do suffer from it. Another model that has been suggested to explain animal hoarding is attachment disorder, which is primarily caused by poor parent-child relationships during childhood. It is characterized by an inability to form "close relationships [with other humans] in adulthood". As a result, those suffering from attachment disorder may turn to animals for companionship. Interviews with animal hoarders have revealed that hoarders have often experienced domestic trauma in childhood, which is the basis of the evidence for this model. DOES THIS SOUND LIKE VICTOR?! It is like written page from Viktor's life! IF WE REALLY CARE ABOUT THE DOGS IN LATVIA, WE SHOULD CHANNEL OUR EFFORTS TO CLOSE THIS PLACE and free the dogs from Viktors "LOVE" .
