sorry..i have to write in english because i'm sooooo mad.
i just got back from zoo fischer looking for a maulkorb for my shar pei.
my shar pei is extremely scared still. i have her from
www.shar pei in not.de where she lived in a tierschutzheim for the last 9 months and in the last 2 months she has been with me we (a trianer and i) have been working really hard on trust issues and getting her relaxed.
she has made GREAT progress, but still has issues about being touched by strangers.
EVERY person (workers) in the zoo fischer tried to touch her. even after she ran behind me. no one asked. i told them she was shy so they just tried a little slower....no one even thought to just leaver her alone!
then. they have a freilaufende hund there in shop. this is not fair for a hund that must stay on the line! especially when their hund would not leave us alone and no one in the shop put that dog under control.
then. the shop girl actually tried to put a maulkorb on my dog!!!!! that's my job. not the job of a stranger!
then the 150kilo boss came out to help when the poor girls had no idea how to fit a shar pei with a maulkorb and didn't know if they had any for boxers. they actually had never seen a shar pei before they said.
by then we were ready to go as we had already tried on at least 8 different sizes with no luck. but NO
the big fat owner had to touch my dog too. he bent down and kept cklicking at her and trying to get her to sniff him even though my dog was already in extreme stress. she didn't want to sniff him. she didn't want his big fat hand under her nose. he wouldn't stop!
then he looked at me and told me i was making my dog scared and that i shouldn't do that.
yes...it was partly my fault. i sould never have stayed so long! i should have left as soon as the 3rd person that worked there tried to touch my dog without asking. i should not have been so nervous. i left way too late!!!!
and i will NEVER go there again!!!
and i still have no maulkorb for a shar pei.
