Good morning ladies and gentlemen!
Welcome to my presentation about advertising.
Id like to talk about the various adverts and there advantages and disadvantages.
There are adverts on TV spots, on the Internet, on the radio, on the print media, outdoor advertising and direct mailing.
At first, I would like to talk about TV spots. There are very persuasive because there are moving pictures which show products in action, but TV ads are very expensive. TV spots are not only on the TV at home, there are also in the cinema before the film starts.
Many companies use the internet to promote their products. On free providers they make a homepage about there company and which products there offer.
On the radio you cant see any pictures of the products, so they use in there adverts catchy jingles and slogans. Radio ads are cheaper than TV spots.
In many newspapers and magazines you can find Full-page ads. They can be so expensive like TV spots. Smaller ads are cheaper.
In cities, you can find Billboards. On public transport you can also find ads. There are very effective because many people can see the ads.
Companies, which have the names and addresses of prospective customers, can send them information about products, but not only by post, they use also mailshots.
Now I will tell you some advantages about the ads.
Ads can give you information.
They makes newspapers and magazines cheaper.
Advertising means more jobs.
Makes freesheets and free Internet access possible.
At last I will tell you some disadvantages about the various ads:
People buy things they do not need.
Radio and TV spots interrupting the radio and TV programmes.
Many people dont like junk mail.
Ads are not always honestly and can be misleading.
Thank you for listening.
